International Engagement

The Institute for Manufacturing Systems proudly has many research collaborations, workforce development and degree programs powered by an impressive international professional network.

École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers

The École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) focuses on hybrid manufacturing, processing of extreme environment materials, and manufacturing analytics and control. The AM2 partnership is a joint agreement between the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and ENSAM, supported by industry. It features a dual master’s degree in interdisciplinary engineering with a focus on manufacturing, allows for joint research proposals and workshops in Europe and the U.S., and also offers students the opportunity to study abroad in Aix-en-Provence.

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) focuses on multifunctional materials and structures, advanced and additive manufacturing, composite materials, corrosion, wear and properties characterization. AUTh offers an annual summer school on materials transportation and logistics, a study-abroad program, an innovation workshop supported by the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation, and also participates in Texas A&M University’s Aggies Invent.

Indian Institute for Technology in India

Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) and the Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IITT), the Institute for Manufacturing Systems will collaborate with IITT in the areas of advanced manufacturing, materials, mechanics and cyberphysical systems. TEES and IITT will integrate and complement their capabilities available for the creation of strategic plans to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, development and technology transfer, and also jointly supervise doctoral, master’s and baccalaureate-level students from both institutes. The MOU will also facilitate research internships, exchange of faculty and students, and mutual access to relevant research laboratories, facilities and personnel, and will also disseminate findings through scholarly publications, white papers and the media.
