The Institute for Manufacturing Systems has emerged as one of the largest manufacturing groups in the United States. Its diverse membership includes fellows of the society of manufacturing engineers and various other professional societies, established researchers, as well as outstanding young investigators (e.g., National Science Foundation CAREER award winners).
